Important updates: Pick up free meals in distance learning

Important updates: Pick up free meals in distance learning

Thanks to funding from the USDA, free breakfast and lunch are available to all Osseo Area Schools students until further notice.

All grade levels (distance learning model; not enrolled in the Distance Learning Academy) and anyone 18 years of age or younger regardless of enrollment in the district

Starting Nov. 20 through the duration of the full-time distance learning period, free breakfast and lunch will be offered for curbside pickup Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at all schools. A pack of meals for the weekend will be provided on Fridays.

You do not need to sign up for these meals; simply come to pick them up at any District 279 school. If you are unable to pick up meals curbside and would like meals provided to you, or you are unable to pick up meals daily but would still like to receive them, please call 763-315-7691 and our Nutrition Services team will arrange an alternate way to provide your family with meals.

Winter Break meals

On Monday, Dec. 21, and Monday, Dec. 28, Nutrition Services will be distributing meal boxes containing seven (7) breakfasts and seven (7) lunches at Maple Grove Senior High (north parking lot); Park Center Senior High (north parking lot); and Osseo Middle School from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There is no need to sign up for these meals. Meals will be available for children 18 years of age and under on a first-come, first-served basis (limited quantities are available). Children do not need to be present for meal pick up.
