Osseo Education Center students learn key outdoor skills at Fish Lake

Students at the Osseo Education Center recently took a field trip to Fish Lake Regional Park in Maple Grove on May 1. The field trip, taken each year by the school, was put on by Friends of the Boundary Waters and Wilderness Inquiry and served to teach students important outdoor skills. 

The students traveled to different stations at the park. At one station, students canoed around the lake. At other stations, students looked at animal skulls, learned how to put up and take down a tent and how to read a compass. The students also enjoyed lunch at the park.
