District wins award for quality and transparency of financial reporting

Osseo Area Schools recently received a Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting Award from the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) for its 2024 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report. 

The district’s report met criteria established for ASBO International for its Excellence in Financial Reporting award. 

“This recognition validates our commitment to fiscal integrity,” said Kelly Benusa, the district’s director of business services. “And it translates into savings for our district, because a higher bond rating means savings when issuing bonds at the lowest rate available to us.”
